Joseph Tortorelli, Sr WS&L’s owner and founder has been involved with sound and lighting since his teenage years, working with the Italian street festivals and passion plays at his family parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel of Worcester, to providing elite event services for the Kennedy’s campaign work at Beacon Hill in Boston to Wall Street in New York. His interest in repairing mechanical clocks and tinkering with small engines provides valuable assets to the intricate details implemented on several special events. Joseph “Joey” Tortorelli, Jr. WS&L Operations Manager and Lead Technician has been following in his father’s footsteps since he was old enough to walk and carry a microphone cable, helping with the family business. He was running the 60” carbon-arc searchlights at the age of 7 and now currently travels throughout the Northeast, supervising and executing event services to assure 100% satisfaction from clients. The many return-customers that once appreciated having the elder Tortorelli arrive on-site are now demanding Joe, Jr! WS&L has been a family-owned and operated company for over four decades and is well into its second generation. We are locally owned and are not part of a parent company.
